Our Story

We met in Fuerteventura, in early 2021 whilst surfing 🏄‍♀️ . One night, we were talking about how difficult investing is for beginners. How did we know? Because Julia herself just started investing in 2020. Stupid 💸. Sophie started investing 12 years ago. Smart 💰.

Anyway, we thought we really need to change this by building the most beginner-friendly investment platform the world has ever seen. Quite quickly (it took Sophie 1 week to quit her job), we started “Project C”, which stood for Project Corralejo, but we told everyone it stands for Project Capital. We even raised money with that name. After 6 months (no, we didn’t take that long for any other task), we finally found our new and final name: beatvest. But let’s talk about the story behind that name once you have signed the contract.

Mission

Without our mission, it would be impossible to wake up every day and handle the rollercoaster that is called startup life. Our number one mission is to help people get started with investing - easily, correctly and confidently. Why? Because too many people are still having their money sitting around in their savings accounts where it is being eaten up by inflation and low or even negative interest rates. Instead, we want people to use the power of investing and thereby watch their money grow over time. By empowering our users through education, we want everyone to feel confident about their investments and what they do with their money.

Life at beatvest

We don’t take ourselves too seriously, but we are very serious about what we do at work. Join us on our journey towards becoming the #1 investment platform
